New event: Fundraiser for a fallen vet’s family.

Please see the details of this event in the Calendar of events link.  I saw a post on facebook from a friend of a friend, in a comment string and saw that I live not too far away.

I am always up for donating paintings for worthy causes, and felt bad that the last event I was scheduled was cancelled, so I sent a message off offering my painting and a demonstration and the offer was graciously accepted.  I hope that I can help in some small way to bring a bit of joy to a family that has suffered the worst things a family can suffer.

If you have the means, please support our troops and their families in any way you can.

Update on the poker run for the vets

Hmm, the message I had on here disappeared.  So strange!  Well the update on the event was.. there was no event.  It was cancelled at the last minute, so I was not able to participate in the raffle or give a demonstration.  What a bummer!  But, if it is to be rescheduled, I will definitely be there.

A demo for the Vets

I’m headed down to the All Wheel Poker Run for veterans in the Adrian/Tecumseh area tomorrow. After the run, there is a gathering for food, fun, and a raffle.

I have been asked to donate a painting to the raffle by one of the organizers, my good friend Erika. Of course I did, how could I say no? I am also planning on giving a demo of the raffle painting, and who knows I just may give that one away too!

I still have to figure out which to give away and paint! Something like my most recent instagram post (see sidebar). Ill update with details after the event.

My first private lesson

Was a success! I think both me and my student was a bit nervous. Me, because it was my first formal lesson. Her, because she was nine years old! Ok Ok, maybe i was nervous because she was nine years old.

But she had focus, drive, and determination. I think she did a wonderful job. And my thanks to her parents for allowing me into their home. That and the bar-b-que after the lesson was over!
